BREAKING NEWS: Radical Muslim Brotherhood Wins Egyptian Presidency
Radical Muslim Brotherhood Wins Egyptian Presidency
The radical Muslim Brotherhood candidate for the Egyptian presidency was declared the winner by election officials. Mohammed Morsi won the election amid provocative campaign promises notably a pledge to create a United States of the Arabs with the capital being Jerusalem along with a pledge to liberate Gaza "tomorrow."
The election of Morsi has forced Israel to re-evaluate its own security now that a radical Muslim will be the President of Egypt. It remains to be seen whether or not the new government will honor the historic peace treaty agreed to by the late Anwar Sadat. For more on this developing situation, see links below.
